Tacoma Underwater Art Installation

Part of the larger project to install a rock reef at the Les Davis dive site, we are looking to install the statue of a Hippocampus created by a local artist.

The statue will be made of bronze with a base of low ph concrete to ensure that it is safe for the environment where it will live. It will be located in the center of circle of large rock piles that create the reef, and we expect it to be a draw for divers in the area.

The Hippocampus is a mythical creature from Greek mythology with the upper portion being of a horse and the lower portion resembling a fish.
