About the event

With the break wall construction concluded and the new rock reef built, we need to measure the impact on wildlife of these changes!

You can do your part as a diver and citizen scientist with simply diving and filling out a form saying what you've seen.

This data will help inform us and other local governments as to what has gone well here, what can be improved, and showing evidence if projects like these should be implemented in other areas.

We will be doing a reef.org fish ID course from 800 AM - 930 AM in the Point Hudson Pavilion Building across from the Point Hudson Marina & RV Park Office.

From there we will move to the breakwall, pair up, and be aiming for an 11 AM splash.

Please be sure to sign in and out of the water with us, and there will be a hard stop at 1 PM on diving to ensure safety of the divers.

Afterwards we will have a laptop available to record your survey, the site is 27010105 Point Hudson Jetty

This is open to anyone that is certified to scuba dive, but you will need to sign up at https://www.reef.org/user/register to participate
