Dive Site Development Program
As part of Governor Gregoire's Puget Sound clean up plan, derelict creosote soaked pilings located throughout Puget Sound are being slated for removal. Many of these pilings are popular dive attractions for divers in the Pacific Northwest, and the pilings themselves are teeming with life. On this page you will find various links to information about the clean up project, images of life on the pilings and current actions by the WSA in creating a long term program geared toward developing dive sites not just in reaction to losses associated with piling removals and ferry terminal rebuilds, but also new capacity that addresses a growing population.
